To Nowhere

I'm dreaming of a road that leads far, far from here
Where there is a trail that treks through open fields and rolling hills of green
Above me is a sky larger than life and before me a vista for which I sit.
Breathing the air that no one else has breathed,
I yearn for poetry written on the pages of my journal,
Little maps scribbled
As nature lays me down in a field of clover to rest
Covering me with a warm breeze,
I dream of a place far from here.

Once titled Alabama, but changed to fit America

It is the failings of an incestuous breed of consequences and backseat debauchery
The worthlessness of children born with plenty and the manners of whores
It is but the sad compression of bile and torment that make up such humans
Their repugnance slivering on the edges of a shell in which they take shape
Walking among us with their smell of teen angst
The loathing is never too far from which these people stand
The obesity and filth in which they strive
In keeping the wonders of antipathy alive
Oh, how can I remain here?
This world with its misgivings and disease
Its urban-backwoods and obesity
Its vitriol and agony
Divest this place of its breed
Of its lost souls with worn out shoes

Existence

My brain is wrought with morbid beings,
As her voice is that of the same as nails upon a chalkboard.
She talks with slow humdrum words,
Without punctuation or reprise,
Pauses are not of length to survive.
The torture within my mind,
Contemplating the departure of my body through the glass frame,
Is not out of this world,
Nonetheless, merely a fantasy that is reality.
It no longer signifies that matter is no more.
Science, as real and accurate as it may be,
Is nothing more than boredom filled with insanity.
Nails upon chalkboards,
Screaming minds upon the time of sanity disappearing in rhyme
Minds, bodies of tortured matter in time
Do we?
Yes, it is death that comes; it is the end that is near.
Time has come, cast the bodies into the fire, showing no more the pain in which we survive
The hate, the sin of our lives
Let it all go.
Toss us into the world of bile and fire.
You!
Me!
Nothing!

Alien

On my mind rest the wicked and treacherous ways of the old and the new confrontations that have come and gone and now lay before us. History repeats itself and I feel this is what we have to look forward to; therefore I am but a gypsy. Give me the plains of the southwest, the mountains of the Midwest and the open lands. Let me write my words on paper and share with the world my beliefs. Give me what is rightfully mine, Freedom. Take away the bars that hold me in this cell, give me the freedom to roam about this planet of ours. Let me rise above this poverty and use only what I need and give back to the land and to my fellow worldly brothers. We are all created equal and it is time that we show our creators that we can care for this wonderful planet that they have given us with peace, love and understanding. Because they are coming back, let the records show that we will be visited and the end is near.

"Later into the night the darker the soul becomes. The meds fade away my mind chooses not to stay. It rambles and rants, it gently falls asleep, leaving me standing in the cold, for all to see."

Breaking and bending the rules of life I go, living in a limbo that feels better than life itself. While the world falls apart around me I only get better with time. I have allowed myself to believe that I am not alone, the Lord walks with me down each road I travel, when I fall down, he picks me up, when I jump for joy, he throws me higher. In such an uncertain world I am truly blessed and thankful.

For a Dear Friend

"If I get a piece of me every day, everybody else gets the best of me."

Angie Broussard-Jones © 2009

In this life we meet people to whom we simply cannot live without. Dear friends that are there for us whenever we need them. I have one of these and I wanted to publish her quote on my blog. She has helped me through many troubling times in my life. We were separated for many years however we are back together again and she means so much to me. A wonderful woman she truly is and her family is blessed to have her as a Wife and a Mother. The people to whom she comes into contact with are blessed to have even been spoken too by her.

What we all really want.

Love….

I would die for you
Take your sickness and bleed for you,
Suffering every waking moment,

Just so you don't have too...

Love…

With eyes that say I will be there with you until the end,
A smile that says I will love you with every fiber of my soul;

Love is what we all want.

Even Angels Burn

Angels among us die as we lye under the grey sky
Sinking in the quicksand of what is life
We drink from the fountain of love only to find it bitter with rage,
So we set ourselves on fire and smolder in the depths of hell that we call our hearts.

Until then

for into the night i will go
sleep now and dream in glow
in the light of your smile
the kiss in your lips
the touch of your skin
for i, beautiful, in you i do yearn

good night my love
till the morning we shall speak
my heart is yours
till the heavens they do peak

in my soul you do reside
i pray each day
forever to be by your side

i love you

i go for now
with me your love i take
only to wake one day closer
for that day will come soon
when you and i become one

"Stay the course and you will succeed, and if you should fall get back up and keep going. For you see, we are all one people and if we do not stick together and stand for what is right in the world, we will all fail and the world as we know it will falter and we will all fail to exist as we once did." ~ Christopher Chapman 2009

Love from above

for tonight i tell a tale
of a love that swells
you walked into my life
with constant strife
for you love without open arms
your heart i do yearn

i will work to earn your trust
we should be together, that is a must
your eyes deep with hurt
i will not only flirt
my heart sees only you
your soul is open to my view
i love this woman of mine
you are my only kind

you are afraid now
but rest assured my love
for this love comes from above
i traveled this earth
true love i have searched

once i did not believe
so i prayed to see
that he would give me sight
to see you with delight

you came to me once
i hurt you so
you are not aware
my true love is there
oh, beautiful lady of mine
will you not cry
for you see i am here

to love and to hold
till that day due us fold
death shall be the end
for you and i my friend
no sooner shall i leave
for i have seen
true love in my soul

i am your lover, friend, confidant
my fair lady of the south
my kiss fits perfectly into your mouth
in your arms i am at home
with you always i do belong
